The goal of the ManTra workshop is to provide a venue that focuses exclusively on traffic manipulation attacks in the Internet and countermeasures against them, presenting a broad view of technologies and approaches for manipulating traffic (from injections into the communication stream to hijacking communication), evaluations and simulations thereof, identification of new techniques and vulnerabilities, bringing together researchers and practitioners in all areas of computer, networks and systems security for studying the problems and paving the ways towards deployment of defences. Dr. Haya Shulman co-chaired ManTra 2020, together with Prof. Dr. Radia Perlman from DELL/EMC.
2020 Fraunhofer CyberStar Award for Excellent Research Students (FCSA 2020)
The award promotes excellent graduates in applied cybersecurity, creates career opportunities and provides role models to motivate and encourage the next generation of young scientists. The award publicly acknowledges the outstanding academic achievements of the winners, enhances their footprint and helps them to grow and promote their research. Graduates and students with relevant recent results are encouraged to apply for this prize, which will offer them the opportunity to present and discuss their work with scientists, engineers, network operators, policy makers and government officials in Israel and in Germany. FCSA 2020 is supported by industry and government organizations in Germany and Israel. The FCSA 2020 jury is headed by Dr. Haya Shulman.
The German-Israeli Partnership Accelerator for Cybersecurity - GIPA
The German-Israeli Partnership Accelerator for Cybersecurity is a new initiative to accelerate cybersecurity research collaboration between Germany and Israel and shape the world’s cybersecurity landscape. GIPA is launched by Fraunhofer SIT and Hebrew University of Jerusalem HUJI. GIPA brings together students of computer science and engineering with top cybersecurity talents from Israel and Germany. Participants will jointly work on cutting edge cybersecurity projects in areas such as network technologies, internet infrastructure and software security. This will speed up the development of new technological ideas in Cybersecurity and Privacy, while connecting young entrepreneurs and students with researchers, advisors, customers and influencers.
